see what one little book can do

My stats are LEXXploding this month, and it's been interesting watching them. Current top ten all-time is being rapidly taken over.

Zev vs Xex 1327

Lexx season 5 greenlit by Showtime 910

Giggerota the Wicked, Part One 705

Heresy in the First Degree- Thodin of the Ostral-B Pair 693

Lexx Collectibles 619

LEXX Unauthorized- a book review 618

Bunny 600

Lexx fans on Facebook 584

It's Good to be Queen- Giggerota, Part Three 575

Ellen Dubin interview 510

Top ten visiting countries all-time.

Compare that to top ten over the last 30 days. I haven't seen anything like this happen in a long time.

And here is where the interest is coming from.

In one scant week, a world fandom contorted itself over a book about Lexx. Keep in mind that blogger stats are super vague. I get much better incoming from statcounter, which is also impressive.

I just demonstrated why a Lexx reboot would be profitable. Lexx is 20 years old and is still being monitored by a world fandom. This may not look like big numbers, but having been in and out of fandoms since 1994, I guarantee you this is impressive for a 20 years old cult show that went out of print and disappeared for awhile and has absolutely no representation outside of a fan network. One week.

This fandom will never die.

a fondness for balloons

Well, someone's a Lexx fan, my Lexxperience dotcom is popping. Numbers doubled this month. From the beginning of this blog to now, which will be 3 years old next week, statcounter has logged 1,589 cities from 105 countries, and since I've rigorously blocked pingbacks and totally crunch spam, those are mostly real people. You guys see me struggle with bots on Pinky blog, well, Lexxperience gets way less app spam to the point of being almost negligible.

I apologize profusely for not being more involved with the fan base. If you are keeping up as a reader on my blog hub, then you know why, so I'm not going to drag it out here.

Yes, I still have every intention of continuing the review posts. Again, thank you so much for reading.

Also, since I'm pointing out that this blog will be 3 years old next week, I may as well bring up that my original GrandFortuna's League of 20,000 Planets fansite on Xanga will be 13 years old in September. I lost loads of stats during 2 sitemeter crashes and then the big Xanga server move, but at one point I was clocking 3000 hits a week, and one post had over 10K hits before the server move.

some of you might remember how this all got started
And amazingly, I STILL run into Lexx fans all over the world on twitter, tumbr, facebook, and other places who say they thought they were the only one in the world who liked Lexx. I just wanna say to all the TV review sites who thumbed this show down, my stats beat yours and you can suck it. Also, hazing a show for kneejerk hits is a dick move and only shows your low IQ for missing all the deeper backstory and innuendo that opened up and exposed reams of delicate religious and political controversies before it was fashionable to do so on social medias.

Lexx fans will never die. Keep looking for each other, guys.

:edit: By the way, this Lexxperience blog is now registered and verified with trustedsite.

Lexx re-release for the 20th Lexxversary

Echo Bridge Entertainment will re-release the entire Lexx series in a single box for only $29.99 on May 3rd, available for pre-order from Amazon.

pic clicks to official re-release announcement

A brand new Australia version complete set released in 2011 can cost up to $122.99 on Amazon.

A brand new region 2 complete set released in 2002 starts at $81.43 and goes up to $146.81 on Amazon.

A brand new region 1 (U.S. and Canada) complete set released in 2013 starts at $46.72 on Amazon.

And of course, you can still order all 4 Lexx seasons through retail stores online for about $12 per season, making the entire series around $48.
  Walmart
  Target

Yeah, the cover art is messed up- Kai never held a sword (Excalibur???) and Mantrid and/or Prince would have been a great antagonist to have on the cover, but yay it's a re-release and the price has dropped again. Now all you Lexx fans on twitter fussing about never seeing it come through Netflix or Hulu can plunk down your spending money for one little bitty weekend and just own it, amIright?

#Lexxversary

From an update I just did at GrandFortuna's League of 20,000 Planets- LEXX 20th Anniversary- 2016

#Lexxversary
Sorry, I'm a hashtag junkie, couldn't help it.

Lexxverse.com has got a rocking Lexx 20th Anniversary page up on Facebook already filling up with tons of stuff from filming, including behind the scenes, artwork and schematics, sets and costuming, just an incredible walk through an amazing amount of Lexx memorabilia. I am delighted to see this happening, and I know an incredible amount of work is going into it.

Ok, back to Lexxperience here. You guys know (especially on twitter) I'm a terrible fan because I'm a scattered mess and have too many projects going, BUT I'm pretty sure there is more going on out there and I'll eventually find it. Some fans PM and DM me about this or that with the actors, and if it's unrelated or not directly related to Lexx itself, I generally don't pass that info along. However, I'm quite happy to pass along anything Lexx and Lexx fan related, especially now that this big anniversary party is going worldwide. I'm not planning on doing anything particularly special for 2016 myself because I'm swamped, but that doesn't mean I don't care. I'll be looking around for MOAR and ALL THE THINGS as time permits, but it's ok if you guys tag me somewhere and say Here's my link.

Talking About Lexx

Snips click to sources.

Lexx will be 20 years old next year.

A couple of the directors brought this up in a convo yesterday on Facebook.

If you don't or can't pull up Facebook, here you go.

Repeat of the last snip. That's two main character actors on board now, as well.

Lexx is still a big deal. Just the other day a Stargate podcaster alerted me on twitter to a new Lexx podcast episode.

Here is that podcast. I haven't listened to it yet, but you can see people are still discovering Lexx all the time.

And that embed code just commandeered what looks like a lot of empty space. Moving on.

I also discovered a few months ago that there is a regular WordPress update for the Lexx Appeal podcast by @Diamandahagan and @TimeLordOmega www.theomegageek.com. Blogger is fighting me resizing the embed code, but this snip clicks to my original tweet link.

So you guys get your cosplays and collectibles ready for the 20th anniversary next year, get pix and linx and all your fan stuff pulled together, and if you don't have your own blogs or sites to share to, grab one of us who do (any of us, this isn't a competition) and I'll try to link to everything I can find so everyone can see everyone else's stuff.
